In previous versions the aircraft would seem to more more naturally "settle in" after I stopped applying inputs from the joystick.

You will get the same amount of "left roll" from half-tilt to full-tilt of the stick to the left and are really only getting half of the physical motion as input fidelity.I got the update for 1.5, but now my joystick / aircraft interface seems to act much differently. Similar to the first case I presented for deadzone issues - this is compressing the input range which results in twitchy motion.

You should never increase the deadzone unless you have erroneous wandering. with a 10% deadzone you either have a case where the other 90% has to represent 100% of the needed output of control (a compressed control range) - OR - you go from 0% input until you move the stick beyond 10% - at which point you immediately go to 10% input (without ever having graduated from 0-10). The game will either re-interpolate the range of motion or it won't. Think about it this way: if you increase the dead-zone you have less effective motion that controls the output. The xbox elite controller you can change everything as well as the layout. Increasing the deadzone will make it worse in one of two ways.
